Housesitting available spring/summer 2016

Postby xtrailer » Wed Jan 27, 2016 7:09 pm

Buenas tardes all!

Our regularly scheduled housesit in Chamela is going to be a construction site this year, and it was suggested to us to reach out to the online coastal community to see if anyone is looking for housesitters this spring and/or summer.

A little bit about us, we are a bilingual Mexican-Canadian couple currently based out of Guadalajara. As locals, we have managed a number of Mexican properties in Jalisco and Nayarit and dealt with hurricanes, flash flooding, power outages, snake and scorpion bites and everything in between. We are also accustomed to dealing with everyday Mexican bureaucracy at Telmex, Hacienda, Zeta Gas, etc. - you won't be coming home to raised CFE rates as we understand how "la luz" works in Mexico.

We drive a 4x4 capable vehicle and we are happy to come meet in person before committing to any housesit. Please feel free to email me at jovannalord@gmail.com or read more about us at http://mexicohousesitters.weebly.com/ Saludos!

I am always on the cautious side and advise anyone interested in hiring a house sitter to be very careful. Check references and check that the references are real.

Most people that I know only use house sitters that they know beforehand, never strangers.

We have had good luck with MindMyHouse.com, both when we were living in CR and here. Have had couples and women from St Croix, Australia, Canada (London, Ont, and Calgary), and the US. Next couple are from NZ. Really important for us to find people who will take good care of our beloved pets.

Just my two cents.....

saludos cordiales,
Gayle
