Why Pay MagicJack and Vonage? Google Voice is FREE

Postby MarkosJal » Thu Sep 21, 2017 1:14 pm

As you may know already Google offers Google Voice, however living in Vallarta it does not seem that beneficial, well at least at first glance.

What does Google Give you for free?
A USA number
Unlimited USA Calling
Unlimited Canada Calling

What if you could use the FREE Google Voice Service just like MagicJack or Vonage? Well, YOU CAN! We call it Google Voice Phone.

For a ONE TIME FEE of $99 USD you get a device pre-configured to work with your existing Google Voice Account , or we can create a new account for you. This device is much like a Vonage adapter that connects between your phone and modem.

After the ONE TIME FEE of $99 USD YOU NEVER PAY AGAIN! You can connect your phone and call all you like to USA and Canada, and receive calls on your USA number. We also offer the option to add a Canadian incoming number for an additional annual fee.

Sounds a lot like Ooma. We love our Ooma and can put their app on both of our smartphones and they are a well recognized company with excellent support should we need it. Oh, and we were able to port our old US number that we have had for 20 years for free.

Google Voice Phone makes Google Voice "Standards Compliant" and compatible with any SIP ATA or Softphone . You can even use it with multiple devices simultaneously in different countries or in the same house or office allowing multiple simultaneous calls inbound and/or outbound!

Your device is "locked down" and these are not .

Sorry there is a HUGE difference

We have them here no need to go to USA , and also as this is a Teknogeekz product we have supported what we sell in Vallarta for over 15 years.

Question: Are you also the same folks selling the Android boxes for free TV?

I have NEVER SOLD ANDROID TV BOXES!
I have sold LINUX (NOT ANDROID) based TV systems and have an installed userbase in Chapala, Vallarta, and San Miguel de Allende. I have been involved in selling streaming TV systems since 2010 and prior to that ran a VoIP business. I also taught some VoIP lab/course at the University of Guadalajara. I have had the teknogeekz.com web site since about 2000, and have offered tech related services to vallarta for 15 years now. Do not confuse me with other "geeks" sites , I was first in Vallarta.

As all my sites have been under construction, these may not work at the moment

http://tecnologiadeleon.com (as above but in Spanish)

http://IceVoIP.com

not currently available but will be back soon

It looks like Ooma does charge small monthly "fee" although they call it "taxes and fees" and in the case of Google Voice Phone there are no fees nor taxes so when taking about ongoing "annual savings" when Ooma will cost about $50.00 per year (varies by billing address) , Gogle Voice Phone is FREE each year. No hidden "fees" nor "taxes"

Ooma also charges a very high (comparatively) port fee of 39.99. Many providers port for free and those that do charge usually charge between $20-$25
