Just How Hot and Sticky is it?

Postby TomDane » Mon Oct 17, 2016 11:09 am

I'm packing clothes for tomorrow's flight down for a week. I've never been in October.
I was in PV during mid August and was pleasantly surprised.
Should I prepare for hotter than August?

That depends.
It is not that different from August. Runs the gamut from humid, still, sultry overcast days to bright, breezy, fresh sunny days. It has cooled down a bit, probably because the days are shorter. We are still in summer type weather, tho.

For northerners, this can be a huge jolt, as you have already acclimated to some cold.

As for packing, how much different can it be? Shorts, sandals, and light-weight shirts is all anyone ever wears in PV (except for those few days in winter when we break out the overcoats for those 60 degree late nights). And yes, people are still swimming in the ocean.

Click on the clock/thermometer at the top left of this page and you get a 10 day Wunderground forecast. It includes lots of stuff, including humidity and the "feels like" temp. (about 100 F at the high point nearly every day).

Thanks to you both.
Now I'm properly focused on what to pack.
Yep, same as August.
