jaja. PVScene did not exist this morning. It was shut down along with this website.

The balloon was being uplifted last night at about 1 am (I know because I walked by it then and I saw a guy hanging on to it for dear life to try to keep it from flying away). It is advertising that Monday, March 26, will be a very special day in Vallarta. There will be massive security and a "BIG" event that may even include Presidente Calderon (don't tell the cartelistas, por favor). I can't even go in to work at my Monday morning tourism office "job" because everything will be closed for this event.

Don't plan on passing easily through Centro Monday. It will be a hell of security and delays.

And don't miss it.

As President Felipe Calderón is expected to attend the main event on Monday, March 26, no vehicles will be allowed in the downtown area after 6 pm, and Calles Morelos and Juárez from Jesús Langarica to Calle Guerrero will be closed to private vehicles.

City authorities are asking all citizens who must travel to El Centro via public transportation on Monday to keep in mind that traffic will be diverted on many of the streets up to Parque Hidalgo, which will require extra travel time.

Finally, Puerto Vallarta's Municipal Presidency (City Hall) will be closed all day on March 26, as the city puts all of the security measures in place for President Calderón's expected appearance at the Malecón event on Monday night.
