Paso Ancho Road Freeway

Postby freeeye » Tue Jul 17, 2012 5:42 pm

Just when you find a place you love, a place where the road scares off the touristas and keeps it "Mexico," they pave it. I think there is a song about this....

This is in front of Moro Paraiso, my favorite Sunday afternoon hangout.

One lane at a time but they are serious.

Is it paved all the way to Moro?

No. The paving is starting at the bridge over the Cuale river up past Moro and continuing down to Paso Ancho. They are putting in real culverts. I've heard that the paving will not include the town of Paso Ancho, but, considering the source, I do not believe this. The town needs the paving more than the outback.

The extreme dust from the ATVs in the dry winter is killing the kids there. It's about time someone took some responsibility for the damage that is being done. The ATV tours, like those of Unique ATV, are trashing the lungs of the kids who live and go to school along this road.

This is good news for the kids and others with breathing problems.

I would suspect this also means that they are going to be selling more properties out there. Development follows pavement.

This development move may also be in anticipation of the bypass, who knows.

Anyway, changes are a-happening.

Better do Moro while they are still a peaceful little hideout.

Wow! That little town definitely needs paving done. I know how dusty it is there. The people are always watering the road down trying to keep the dust at bay.

Went up to Moro last Sunday and the road is totally paved from the upper bridge down to it. With the number of cement and rock trucks passing our house this week, I'm sure they are much farther now. Very ambitious project...
