before I do a face plant on the cobbles.....

Hi folks,

Before my flipflops kill me.. I have been looking around and haven't been able to find better quality ones..with arches and good grips. Has anybody got any ideas of where I can some better foot wear? ( my knees are not happy either)

thanks,

Maybe in the Surtidora department store basement shoe dept. by the northbound bridge over the Cuale river. If not, there are several shoe stores and Lans Dept. store at Plaza Caracol, just a short bus ride away.

There are also lots of shoe stores located around Juarez street and Libertad, south of city hall. Plaza Caracol has a large shoe store as well, not just at Lans. There are lots of shoe stores around; even Woolworths and Walmart carry shoes, but as for good arches, I dunno. Pitillal is another area where there are many many shoes.

Those are the places I have seen. I don't know a lot about them, as I tend to walk everywhere and am very particular about my shoes because they have to be able to transport me for miles without doing damage. I don't know if you are looking for some simple foot clothing or some serious arch support with real city hiking in mind.

My wife Paula and I wear runners made by New Balance, they have a built in partial orthotic!!! Great shoes! So comfy and supportive! Paula has bought a pair of New balance sandals with the same supports and is anxious to try them out in PV! We do a ton of walking, especially in PV!
Did see New Balance at PV Costco last year.
