Thursday, Sept 21 Meetup at Langostino's

We'll be heading over to the beach this week to Langostino's for our weekly meetup: Los Muertos Beach at 6 pm this Thursday, September 21.

Colette is finishing up her remodeling of Langostino's and is anxious to see our reactions.

There is an extended happy hour from 6 until 8, with beer 20 pesos and house cocktails 2 for 1 (45 pesos), including the margaritas. Good, strong drinks by master bartenders. This bar is right on the beach and there is plenty of activity. Lots of people in town right now with the tourist season starting. The sunsets have very good lately. The sun sets a bit after 8.

Langostino's is just north of where the Los Muertos pier used to be and where the new pier is about to be.

Everyone is welcome. Our meetups at Langostino's have been very active and quite crowded lately so show up early for a good seat. The Langostino's staff have been very good to us (tip with kindness).

We're just there to meet people and to party with those who want to party. About the only rule we have is no time share sales.

Everybody meets at Langostino's. It's a great bar.

I'd suggest Sea Monkey for them, but I think it's still closed for a while. I'd also suggest CyCs but JR can't hold his meetups at CyCs because he's banned. JR has now been having some kind of meetups at Pour Favor, but the beach is definitely better for just about everything. They also used to try to have them at Twisted Palms but I don't think JR got any "gratuities" there and it's kind of expensive for his tastes. Crazy Beaches is fun and much better (in food and drink and prices) than Sea Monkey but you don't get to see too many babes walking by in bikinis on their side street.

Hey, what about at Mordidas? We could charge admission for that show.

For extra entertainment (besides the teenage school girls in minis walking by at about 8 pm), we could all get together, Shanghai Chico98, put a funnel down his throat and see what a real man is like on Presidente.

I'll hire Bruce to make the small plate, million dollar appetizers. Pete to be the bouncer in case any women or commies get unruly. Fox can shame and cajole people into donating to non-starving, non-dump kids who like to eat pizza. Jack can be the censor. Sharky can keep the refrigerator running cold enough for muy frio cerveza....

Don't get me started.
