Salty food

I've always thought Mexican cooks add salt. Recently it has gotten ridiculous.

Yes, there are a few places I have eaten that have put in so much salt that the food was inedible.

I've never found it that way and I've been travelling down there since the late 80's.

Well, we just had blood tests after 6 months in Vallarta and never had high blood pressure before. We eat out mostly. Our Canadian doctor said cut the excess salt - which we don't even use. He said we are getting excess sodium somewhere. I guess we will be eating at our place in Vallarta more often than eating out to stay healthy.

I feel much healthier when I'm in PV. I tend to eat more fish and vegetables versus carbs. Perhaps, it'll just take some small changes. Less carbs and more veggies. I also put the tomato/onion/jalapeno pepper salsa on almost everything. Lots of walking as well. I've never had a sodium issue.
