Walmart is the only place I can find real butter. Is there any other place it is available?

And, btw, Mexican butter (mantequilla) is real. They do add lecithin to it so that it does not melt so fast in the heat, but it is real.

...and I can't taste the difference between Mexican butter with lecithin and imported butter. (People have said that there's a difference in taste.) It's so easy to find mantequilla sin sal, it's just such a pleasure. Butter, good olive oil. Mmmmm. Margarina (margarine) is something else entirely.

For very good, salted or unsalted butter buy Lurpak - now over 50 pesos a half pound, usually available at Mega, Walmart, maybe Soriana. Stores do run out at this time of high season. Also good, though unsalted at Costco is Kirkland brand, and the excellent President butter. Occasionally you may see Anchor butter salted, or unsalted, which is on a par with Lurpak.

I get Lurpak at the Municipal market on a regular basis with or without salt as they carry both! Inside by the corner butcher!
