LOL
Age is relative, of course, but this hotel is certainly no spring chicken.

By any standards it's old, JR, just like us.

I have stayed there many times. I really enjoy the place. The ocean rooms are smaller and the only noise you hear is the ocean. Street side rooms are hit and miss but you can ask to see the room before check in and if you do not approve ,they are pretty good at moving you to a room you like better. I like to book direct with the hotel, I seem to get better service. Any questions ,feel free to ask.

I need to also say if you book on-line you will get a street side room ,you can only upgrade at the desk- this may have changed but they require cash upgrade or credit card payment the last few times I have been there . I believe it is 20 extra per night. Like I said ,the rooms are smaller and it cost more per night. Some of the street rooms have 3 queen beds and a huge shower in them.- El pescador is located off a side street ,everything is a short walk to find what you need.

Don't tell anyone but this is one of the worst tourist seasons in history here in Vallarta, with the world-wide depression, the flu and the cartel fear mongering. There are great deals here now.

As for restaurants and bars, I don't think I've ever seen so many go belly up but I also haven't seen so many new, good placed open at one time. It's a good time to be here.
