I'm more interested in the coverage of the event than the "coverage" of the participants, which seems to be more and more risque each year. Rick, have any provisions been made for live webcam coverage, or is it just too dark to get good video shots of the parade? It seems to me like the area where you're starting on the Malecon would be light enough for a webcam. If there is one, what's the URL? If not, maybe next year, for those of us who can't be there

It is going to be streamed live. I don't have time at this moment to look it up, but it was announced on Bandaras News, a week or so ago.

I'd like to give you more information about the live broadcast but the producers of it have no connection with the parade and have given us (the parade committee) zilch as far as any heads up or broadcast info.

The live broadcast is supposed to be on the Banderas News website but if you go there right now (as I just did) you will see nothing about it except an ad for watching it at Daiquiri Dicks for 150 pesos cover.

the mazatlan carnival was showing on some mexican tv news lastnite
maybe they will show some on the vallarta carnaval
may be able to get some live cam from the mcdonald cam as this will be the starting point of the parade
i will tune in tonite and see
