Thank you Mama Esther for not weighing your daughter down with guilt and expections that would have killed her spirit for sure. We could all learn from a woman that doesn't extinguish the fire within her children.

Gracias Esther Gracias
How can they say my life is not a success? Have I not for more than sixty years got enough to eat and escaped being eaten?

Sarah,
Vic and I are so sorry to hear about your Mother's death. Your written words expressed your deep love and understanding of the woman who was your Mom. She was obviously someone who lived her life with much passion, energy and enthusiasm.
I remember seeing a picture you had posted of her once, I think she was holding a fish and I recall staring at it for a long time and smiling at her obvious exuberance of that moment. I sense that you are definitely your mother's daughter in many of the good ways.
Better days ahead my friend. We love you.
Good people sleep better than bad people, but bad people enjoy the waking hours much more.

Once again I am so sorry for your loss, you showed your strength and love . I am so glad you were able to say goodbye and bring your mom home. I have never been thru what you have and when I do I hope I am as strong as you have been.

So sad Sarah.

It was nice that you got to say your proper goodbyes. And thanks for sharing your fond memories. It will weigh heavily on you and that is good. It illustrates the profound influence that she played in your life.

Sincerely
Keith and Faye

Very sorry for the loss of your mom. My friend's mom died a few years ago. She was a wonderful woman, and like a best pal, or mother to me. I helped host the wake with all her friends and adopted children like me. For the occasion I found the following on line:

To Those I Love

If I should ever leave you whom I love
To go along the Silent Way, grieve not,
Nor speak of me with tears,
but laugh and talk
of me as if I were beside you there.

(I'd come-I'd come, could I but find a way!
But would not tears and grief be barriers?)

And when you hear a song or see a bird I loved,
please do not let the thought of me be sad...
For I am loving you just as I always have...

You were so good to me!
There are so many things I wanted still to do—
so many things to say to you...
Remember that I did not fear—
It was just leaving you that was so hard to face...

We cannot see Beyond... But this I know:
I loved you so—'twas heaven here with you!
