Oil Spill?

Does anyone know something about an oil spill in the Bay? We were in Boca the other day and got our feet covered in globs of black tar/oil. I thought it was isolated to someone pumping their bilge there but today we noticed lots of people getting it on their feet at Los Muertos beach. The guardavidas said that someone in the south of the bay had "hit oil" when excavating on a construction site close to the shore, but that doesn't sound right. Any news?

there was several earthquakes south moderate
they think that it has cause a oil steepage
has been hitting our beaches in the bay too

now it is reported that the oil globs are affecting bucerias and a big blob at La Corbeteña

I hate to put this in these terms, but has ANYBODY witnessed this first hand up here? I love horror stories as much as the next person, but they do get old.

Well I don't know how far north "up here" would be considered, but when we left the beach at Boca we all had lots of black greasy globs stuck to our feet and between our toes. Very hard to get off! And yesterday all the lifeguards on Los Muertos had their feet covered in it too. Not a rumour, I certainly witnessed it first-hand.

I trust you. Tomorrow I will test it for myself before the board meeting. Was it difficult to avoid the goo or was it everywhere so there was no way to miss it?
